Thank you for your interest in our preschool here at Calvary Chapel Santa Maria
where we strive to provide the high-quality care and instruction that is necessary
for your child’s healthy development and early learning so that they are ready for
future years of school and for life.
Our goal is to always provide a loving, enriching and safe environment.
We strive to use developmentally appropriate practices and use a highly multi-sensory
approach to learning with many meaningful experiences that will help foster healthy
growth and development in all areas: spiritual, physical, social, emotional and cognitive.
We have a very well-balanced program between self-directed and teacher-directed
activities which helps to prevent problems and encourages exploration of different
centers available in the classroom
We hope to partner with you in helping your child to grow and flourish so we
have an open door policy and encourage you to come in and participate when you are
able to. We encourage communication with comments and questions welcomed.
We provide monthly school newsletters to inform you of our themes and events for
each month, we also provide classroom newsletters as well.
Nutrition
We wish to partner with you in providing your child with the nutritional needs and
good eating habits they need in order to be successful in school and healthy.
We provide a morning and an afternoon snack and milk at lunch. Parents pack a
ready-to-eat lunch minus the beverage. Please see pages 18 & 19 of our
Parent Handbook for complete information on our Nutrition Program and policies.
We are licensed by the State of California, Community Care Licensing,
for up to 60 children ages 2 years and six months through Pre-kindergarten aged.
Our facility was designed with our Preschool in mind. We have great classrooms
including sinks in the classrooms with a restroom attached. We have five classrooms
with children divided according to age. We maintain a ratio of not more than 12 children
to each teacher. We keep our youngest class of 2 ½ - 3 year olds at a ratio of 10 to 1 at
least through the first half of the school year and longer if needed
Each staff member has been blessed with a gift from God to work with and care for young children,
as well as having a heart for it. Each staff member has a strong personal relationship with
Jesus Christ and is very dedicated to serving Christ and the children and families of the children
at our center. Our staff is educated well above what is minimally required by licensing, with
each of the classroom teachers carrying an associate’s degree specifically in Early Childhood Education.
We believe that it is very important for us to continue our education and training by attending workshops,
classes and conferences that are offered by many excellent local and State agencies and colleges.
Each staff member is First-Aid and CPR certified. It is our desire to be the best teachers and care
takers possible.

* Registration Fee is due at the time of
initial registration and
renewed at the beginning of each new school year. If
your child
should begin during the summer months, the
registration fee in
September is prorated at $10/month.
** Parents are charged the DAILY rates when any
month is prorated.
These rates are effective 9/01/11 for the 2011-2012
school year.
Tuition is due monthly in advance and remains constant regardless of absences
Your child is special and we understand how important it is for you as a parent to feel comfortable and positive about the place he or she will spend his or her time. So we invite you to tour our preschool and spend some time observing before you enroll your precious child.
Enrollment Process
1. Call the school to check on the space availability for your desired schedule.
2. Schedule a tour with the Director and pick up an enrollment packet.
3. Complete the enrollment packet and schedule a short orientation with the Director. We will go over the paperwork, sign-in and billing procedures and any further questions you may have.
4. Schedule one or more visits with your child prior to his/her first official start date so that you both can become familiar with the teacher, classroom, playground and the rest of the facility.
